As per the notification from the British Council, to unify the test process and better improve test takers’ experiences, the following changes will be globally applied to both IELTS and IELTS for UKVI Paper-based test listening part starting from Jan 4, 2020. These changes will not affect the timing, content and levelof difficulty of the test.

·        We will be changing the word ‘Sections’ to ‘Parts’ – The paper-based test will now be divided into Part 1, 2, 3, 4.

·        We will be removing the Part 1 example. The length of time of all parts of the Listening test is not affected.

·        We are also removing the page number references. For example, candidates will be instructed to “look at questions 1-4” instead of the current “look at questions1-4 on page 3”.

The British Council have officially released 2020 IELTS key dates, and candidates are welcomed to visit IELTS registration website  ielts.neea.cn or ielts.neea.edu.cn  to check test dates, test venues and register online.
